Who gets acne?

The answer is easy and immediate: almost everybody gets pimples! Once the hormones kick in around age 12, puberty begins and with it you start dealing with pimples.

It doesn’t make any difference who you are, what your social status is, if you are a boy or a girl. Truth to be old I have never heard of blemish free persons. Ever! For women acne and blemishes are associated mostly with hormonal imbalances such as those associated with their period.

The social repercussions of acne for the sufferers are huge. Let aside the unpleasant inconvenience of showing in public with a face full of blemishes, the interpersonal reports are damaged with long time repercussions.
